Frequently Asked Questions

What type of care can a mobile veterinarian provide for my pet?
Many of your pet’s wellness needs can be provided for without a trip to a veterinary office. Periodic check-ups, vaccinations, and many diagnostic tests can be completed right in the comfort of your home. Coastline veterinarians can coordinate with your local hospital if your pet requires advanced care, such as surgery, an anesthetic procedure, or overnight monitoring.
I like my pet’s veterinarian, but it’s not always convenient to take my pet in. Can I use Coastline Mobile and still see my regular veterinarian?
Yes, of course! Coastline Mobile Veterinary Care will provide your regular veterinarian with a complete record of your pet’s at-home treatments. This will ensure continuity of care among your pet’s team of healthcare providers.
Do you provide emergency services?
Pet emergencies often require immediate intervention. If your pet is experiencing a medical emergency we encourage you contact your local 24-hour emergency veterinary facility without delay.
Can I get my pet’s medications from you?
Yes, Coastline veterinarians are able to prescribe and provide medications for their patients.
What types of payment do you accept?
We accept all major credit cards (M/C, Visa, American Express), Zelle, and Venmo. Payment in full is required at the time of service.
Do you provide services for cats?
Yes. Coastline Mobile Veterinary Care prides itself on providing outstanding care to our feline patients.
What should we expect with COVID-19 and our appointment?
Coastline veterinarians and nurses will have to physically touch your pet for examinations, blood draws or other procedures, however the Coastline team will always follow social distancing recommendations provided by the CDC as they relate to you, your family and your home. The safety of you and your pets is our top concern.
I just have a few quick questions about my pet. Can you answer them over the phone without examining my pet? What is a veterinarian-client-patient-relationship (VCPR)?
Veterinarians are mandated to establish a veterinarian-client-patient-relationship (VCPR) prior to providing any medical advice or treatment to a patient. The VCPR is established through a physical examination. Please call us to schedule your pet’s appointment. Our friendly veterinarians look forward to meeting you and answering your questions!
